They have to practise many skills but they are all trying their very best.

Shared Learning with mathematical Christmas decorations on Friday 6th December 2013

This is the red team, St George, making stockings to put on the Christmas tree, now it looks fabulous.

We (the green team St Patrick) are making 3D paper Christmas trees to decorate our class room - concentration needed! We had to use 2D Christmas tree shapes and stick them at right angles to the stem.
This is the blue team, St Andrews, busy making lanterns using parallel cuts to put on the tree.

This is Mr Jackson telling us a story and it was a funny one everyone laughed at the storyteller and he used a singing bowl to start the story. In fact he had different instruments to start each story. He also had a mouth harp that made some good sounds by vibrating on his lips and tongue and you can buy them in North Walsham for £2.50.

This is everyone holding their breath as it was part of the story where we were diving deep in the ocean to look for the world. The story was called Turtle Island.

This was his special 21 stringed harp which he played with his fingers. The sound was like a guitar.

Our Roman Shield Design Ideas

Fitness training - "Failure is not an option" 6th December 2013

We are doing fitness training with Miss Patel so we can stay fit and healthy. This is important because it helps us to be stronger, faster on our bikes and keeps our brain fit too.

Roman Invasion

Oak Class Roman Invasion Monday 2nd December 2013

We made our shields out of cardboard, then we put papier mache over it to make it strong then we put a plaited string on the back. We used water, paint and paper.  The boss was hard so we could bash people. It was fun making our roman shields. The paint was blood red and if you put it on your hands it looked like you were bleeding.

The walk there was brilliant.  It was a long walk. "I enjoyed the hot chocolate." said Summer.  "The hot chocolate was hot and I could not drink it." said Kelly.

We fought the Iceni with our big roman shields.  The Romans won.

The Roman Testudo protects you from arrows and people attacking.  It is very strong and back at their camp in order to test they drove carts over it.  This is our version of a testudo.

A man came from the North Norfolk News/EDP and took some photos of our roman invasion.  He has written an article and published the photos in the newspaper.
