Overstrand Beach the Mystery

Everyone went down to the beach to find interesting things.
Kristen did some knots to hold up the cover for are den on the beach. Kristen knows how to do knots from scouting for 4 years.
If anyone knows what it is please comment.
Kristen and Josh found a red cover and a bit of wood stuck to it, it was stuck to the ground with a bit of rope that was so hard to pull out.  We were looking at it and thinking what it might be on a long rope far down in the ground; it was hard to tell what it was.

Dora, Mrs Hamilton's Dog

When the Dogs Trust came to school they didn't bring a real dog so Mrs Hamilton went home and  got her dog Dora.  We walked her round the playground.  Dora was very cute and well behaved.

Dogs Trust

Jo from The Dogs Trust came to school on Friday and showed us what would you do if you saw a dog on the streets.  You must not touch it; you have to keep away and keep yourself safe.  You need to tell an adult. We also learnt how to take care of our dogs.

Joe brought a toy dog for her demonstration.

Junk Model Designs of Mr Stink's Shed

Oak Class worked together to produce both outside and inside shed designs. Islay and Josh worked on creating furniture to make the inside comfortable.

Their design included a bath, bed, double wardrobe and toilet!  LOTS!!!!
Caleb and Ali built a picket fence out of lolly sticks to decorate the edge of their garden.
Tylar-James and Daniel created a giant structure that had ramps on the top.

Miss Leigh said,"There was some super teamwork this afternoon, everyone had thought carefully about the story so far and were keen to share their ideas with each other."

River Mun Den Building

Last week we went to Templewood to build dens.  We met Mr Anderson the owner who told us what we could do.  We worked in teams to make our dens.  It was fun.

Mr Richards found a stump and use it as a seat.

Ali and Thomas finding stuff for their den.
Tom and Summer and Kelly found a bird house and it had birds inside.
What a big pile of branches!
Miss Leigh yanking a branch. We used the branches to make our dens.
