Roman Invasion

Oak Class Roman Invasion Monday 2nd December 2013

We made our shields out of cardboard, then we put papier mache over it to make it strong then we put a plaited string on the back. We used water, paint and paper.  The boss was hard so we could bash people. It was fun making our roman shields. The paint was blood red and if you put it on your hands it looked like you were bleeding.

The walk there was brilliant.  It was a long walk. "I enjoyed the hot chocolate." said Summer.  "The hot chocolate was hot and I could not drink it." said Kelly.

We fought the Iceni with our big roman shields.  The Romans won.

The Roman Testudo protects you from arrows and people attacking.  It is very strong and back at their camp in order to test they drove carts over it.  This is our version of a testudo.

A man came from the North Norfolk News/EDP and took some photos of our roman invasion.  He has written an article and published the photos in the newspaper.
