When we went to Rand Farm and we fed the animals it was good fun because we all new to us.When we went to the lambs with milk all you could here was bazaar noise but when we fed them they were quiet!
Josh loved the animals; he went through 3 bags of lamb food. It was the lambs lucky day. Everyone loved feeding them. We did it on Monday and Tuesday.

Reflections on Rand Farm

"For the first time I fed a sheep. They were tugging on the milk - it was good because I have never done it before". Summer

"My best bit was feeding the calves. Also we had to clean out the rabbit hutches as part of our chores. That involved cleaning out the poop and replacing the straw. We got to hold them afterwards." Kelly

"Today I fed the goats with a bottle. It was the first time I've done it. I did like it." Thomas

"This is the best place I've ever been because it is the most fun I've had on the best school trip I've been on. I can now offer others good advice for how to walk sensibly." Tom

"Well, the trampolines were the best bit, Miss Leigh

"I've always been afraid of bulls trying to suck off my fingers but I went up to the gate and conquered it! My best moment was feeding the lambs." Tabby

Overstrand Beach the Mystery

Everyone went down to the beach to find interesting things.
Kristen did some knots to hold up the cover for are den on the beach. Kristen knows how to do knots from scouting for 4 years.
If anyone knows what it is please comment.
Kristen and Josh found a red cover and a bit of wood stuck to it, it was stuck to the ground with a bit of rope that was so hard to pull out.  We were looking at it and thinking what it might be on a long rope far down in the ground; it was hard to tell what it was.

Dora, Mrs Hamilton's Dog

When the Dogs Trust came to school they didn't bring a real dog so Mrs Hamilton went home and  got her dog Dora.  We walked her round the playground.  Dora was very cute and well behaved.

Dogs Trust

Jo from The Dogs Trust came to school on Friday and showed us what would you do if you saw a dog on the streets.  You must not touch it; you have to keep away and keep yourself safe.  You need to tell an adult. We also learnt how to take care of our dogs.

Joe brought a toy dog for her demonstration.

Caleb and Ali built a picket fence out of lolly sticks to decorate the edge of their garden.
Tylar-James and Daniel created a giant structure that had ramps on the top.

River Mun Den Building

Last week we went to Templewood to build dens.  We met Mr Anderson the owner who told us what we could do.  We worked in teams to make our dens.  It was fun.

Mr Richards found a stump and use it as a seat.

Ali and Thomas finding stuff for their den.
Tom and Summer and Kelly found a bird house and it had birds inside.
What a big pile of branches!
Miss Leigh yanking a branch. We used the branches to make our dens.
