Cromer Boat Pond, North Lodge Park Thursday 15th October 2015

We went to Cromer boating lake we sailed boats we had hand made we also raced them it was fun.

Some sank because they filled up with water or they were too heavy. Some were not balanced, We used straws, lollypop sticks, blutack and paperclips, even drawing pins to change the weight of certain parts.

Lovell's visit in Keep Safe Week

Lovell's came to our assembly to show us all about what work they are doing in the village of Northrepps.

Lovell are building houses on the old Cherryridge site. They showed us all the dangers on and around a building site.

We listened and learnt some words to remember, 'always stay on the outside of the fence'.
Lovells set us a challenge to create a poster to warn other children and adults to stay away from a building site and the dangers,

We played a game where Alex and Jasmine made sure they had all the correct safety wear for a builder. We think they look safe.

We went to Morrison's, Tuesday 22nd of September.

We tried lots of fruit, vegetables, meat and fish like anchovies, red leicester cheese, turkey, olives, dry cherry tomatoes as well as warm sausage rolls. We also tried flat bread.

Did you know a fully grown cow can make 1000 burgers.

We learnt all about fruit and vegetables and
 what they contain

Cley Marshes and Morston Quay 5th October 2015

"I liked the card game when we had a card with an animal on it and we had to spread out and make the noise of the birds to find our flock." Mattis

"I enjoyed looking through the binoculars because I discovered a marsh harrier." James

"I like Cley because I love the birds. I discovered new kinds of birds including the chiffchaff, the cuckoo and the marsh harrier." Bethany-Ann

Overstrand Study of Coastal Erosion Clifton Way

Oak Class ventured out to Clifton Way on the East side of Overstrand.

We found a variety of rocks, some of which we recognised were not natural cliff materials left over from the dumping of glacial till from the last ice age.
Can you recognise what they are?
Or where they may have been used?
We spotted the remains of the Overstrand Hotel and heard about the story of its demise.
On our promenade to the West side, we identified old and new bore pipes that are essential to the drainage and the overall stability of our cliffs.
It was a glorious Autumn day at our local beach.

Tommy's Homework

Tommy handed in his healthy eating poster for vikings.  He has done this for homework.

We received this email from one of our visitors.

Good evening Mrs Hamilton,

A"thank you" to yourself, staff and pupils, for an absolutely fabulous Coffee Morning- delicious eats, with piping hot coffee, all served very professionally, wonderful raffle, and the fantastic work which pupils shared with us on the Vikings. Your pupils are all stars, they carry out their duties to the highest of standards, for which they are to be congratulated.
